Tournaments, Dates, League

Good evening everyone.

Just a quick post to let you know what is going on at the moment... :-)

Our last league match takes place this Friday - away game vs Boston Primary.  Two teams will go - the under 13's and under 11's.  Letter were handed out today, please sign the consent form and send it back to school as soon as possible.

As mentioned before, I was trying to organise a third friendly tournament for the 7th of June.  This will unfortunately not take place because the grade 7's are starting their exams on that day.  As a rule, no sport to take place at school when the exams are being written.

With that being said, I contradict myself by advertising the following event:
There is a chess tournament (nothing to do with me or the school), taking place in Cape Town on the 8th of June.  I'm not going to go in to a lot of detail, but you can read more on this on their website, by clinking on the following link: http://www.africanchesslounge.com/events.html  I will send out a letter for those interested in this week.

I haven't forgotten about our 'daily chess puzzle', I just didn't have time to load the next couple on the blog, things are going a bit hectic at the house and at the school!

Just one last thing, just in case I don't get to blogging the rest of the week - I'm running the Comrades marathon on Sunday (2 June)!  So hold thumbs that everything is going to go well.  I will let you know how it went.

It will be broadcast on SABC 2 from 5:00 till 18:00.  You can also track me by SMS'ing my race number (43051) to 38132 at a cost of R10 (going towards charity).  You will receive 5 SMS's on the day with my progress.
