League Match 3 vs Gene Louw

Good day everyone.

After this weeks practise, where I had all the under 13's play each other in three rounds 'tournament', the positions of the day were determined.

Here are the results of yesterday's league matches vs Gene Louw:
The under 13's drew: 3 - 3, with
Trevor Rademeyer
Liam Meyer
Chad Mckenzie,
winning their games.  Congratulations!

For the under 11's, we lost 1 - 5, with only
Alex Mckenzie
winning his game.  Congratulations!

I must also mention that in a friendly match after most of the games were completed, Allan (nr.6 for the under 11's, DOB 2004), played against Kevin, Gene Louw's nr.6 for the under 13's, DOB 1999 - and won him! It just goes to show that age is not a factor in the game of chess.

Last but not least, I must say Happy Birthday to Amberleigh, who had the honour of chosing finger-or-thumb to determine who will play which colour in the matches.  She chose white, which meant that Aristea's players 1, 3, and 5 played white.  Unfortunately for her, she was playing board number 4 which meant that she was playing black - not her favourite colour.

Yours in Chess

:-)
